I have had terriers since I was 10 years old. My first 2 terriers were Wire Fox Terriers. Our first Cindy, was the family pet and we were fortunate to have her for 15 years. When she passed away, I was on my own, working in Chesapeake Virginia while living in Virginia Beach. I purchased Tuffy who became companion as worked at various jobs,moving from Virgina Beach, back to Richmond and then to a season of ski bumming in Vermont, and back to Richmond. When Tuffy passed away at 14 1/2, I knew I would get another dog, but needed a short break...that lasted about 2 months and I went on a frantic search looking for another Wire.
I found a Welsh instead, and have never looked back. I purchased my first Welsh from Norma Apprahamian in 1985, Ch. Chaos Scampering Macho Man. Although I didn't purchase him as a show dog, he was a very nice Welsh, and I decided to venture into the world of showing dogs, I had never even been to a dog show...what was I thinking??? However, with help from friends and a lot of luck, I finished him before he turned 1 year, and I was bitten.
Since Scamp, I have finished 11 champions, bred and finished 5 champions. More later
